ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY

SAFETY & HEALTH OBJECTIVES

  • Using a qualified safety personnel
  • Conduct regular job site safety inspections
  • Enforcing the use of safety equipment & tools
  • Enforcing to follow' safety rules and procedures
  • Provide safety training and induction

JOB SITE INSPECTION

  1. Eliminating the hazard.
  2. Guarding against the hazard as required by OSHA
  3. Enforcing the use of personal protective equipment
  4. Training workers in state work practices before initial assignment to the task.
  5. Coordinates safety protection of workers through another contractor.

The safety personnel or other designated person will conduct inspection in each job site and observe potential safety/health hazards, including the potential hazards of deep excavation trenches and confined space and develop a plan for safeguarding ECD company’s workers which may include the following.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

  1. Lead protection will be worn on job site when there are potentials of falling Objects hair enlargement. burning or electrical hazards
  2. Eye protection will be worn on the job site when there are potentials of hazards from flying objects or particles. chemicals. arcing. glare. or dust.
  3. Protect footwear should be worn to protect frl1m falling objects. Chemicals or stepping on sharp objects. Only safety shoes are allowed to be worn at the job site.
  4. Protective gloves or clothing shall be worn when required to protect against a hazard
  5. Harnesses and lanyards shall be utilized for all protection as required in OSHA construction safety standards.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

Management Responsibilities - will provide and maintain as far as possible:

  • Safe systems of work
  • A safe and healthy working environment, provide and maintain plant, equipment and machinery and ensure safe storage/use of substances
  • Prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health by managing the health and safety risks in the workplace.
  • Information, instruction, training and supervision that is reasonably necessary to ensure that each worker is safe from injury and risks to health.
  • A commitment to consult and co -operate with workers in all matters relating to health and safety in the workplace.
  • A commitment to continual improve our performance through effective safety management.

Workers Responsibilities - each works has an obligation to:

  • Comply with safe work practices, with the intent of avoiding injury to themselves and other damage to plant and equipment.
  • Take reasonable care of their own health and safety.
  • Wear personal protective equipment and clothing where necessary.
  • Cooperate with supervisors ana managers on health and safety matters.
  • Report all accidents and incidents on the job immediately, no matter how trivial.
  • Report all known or observed hazards to their supervisor or manager.

Policies and Procedures are designed to influence and determined all major decision and actions and all activities take place within the boundaries set by company/organization. We will review our policy in a regular basis.
